DEC PDP-11/34a
From neurotica.com
This is another one of my favorites, a DEC PDP-11/34a. I have been building this system up from parts over the past several years. It is very similar to a system that I had while in my teens which I sold many years ago. I've regretted that decision ever since, so now I'm trying to "get it back" even if it's not the same system.
I have cache and floating point coprocessor boards for this system, but have not yet installed them.
This computer run several different operating systems, depending on which disk packs are loaded. It can boot RT-11, RSTS/E, or SOL-11 (a Forth derivative). I am slowly working on an installation of RSX-11M for this system.
Configuration
- KD11-EA processor
- KY11-LB front panel
- 256KB of main memory
- RK07 disk drive (28MB removable) with RK611 controller
- RL01 disk drive (5MB removable) with RL11 controller
- RL02 disk drive (10MB removable) also handled by RL11 controller
- RX01 dual 8" floppy drive subsystem with RX11 controller
